Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most popular Samsung phone. It is also among the few phone which helped Samsung reach at the top. Unfortunately, the support for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has ended officially. Samsung Galaxy Note II won’t be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update due to software issues.

The flagship phone released later will be getting the update. The confirmed list of Samsung phones that will be getting Android 5.0 update are as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 4
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  • Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Samsung Galaxy Grand 2
  • Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Will Samsung Galaxy Note 2 get Android Lollipop 5.0 Update was the biggest question for Note 2 users. Samsung supported Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for a little more than 2 years which is not bad at all. Still, since LG Nexus 4 is still getting the Android 5.0 update and it runs smoothly, we had hoped Samsung to continue support. Samsung says the processor isn’t  good enough for Android 5.0 Lollipop but that isn’t just justifiable especially since Android 5.0 features even better memory and resource manager.

Still, if you are into rooting and flashing custom ROM, you know that your phone has not reached its end. If you know how to flash your phone or if you want to learn how, you can visit XDA developers page for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 mod by clicking here. You can also look into this thread of XDA forums for unofficial ROM for your Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The build isn’t very stable but the creator is working on the fix.
