Samsung Galaxy A9 leaked with Snapdragon 620 SoC

The Samsung Galaxy A9 is yet to be officially announced and is rumoured to be released in December. The Samsung A series encompasses of smartphones which are neither too premium nor to low-end. It consists of budget smartphones launched by Samsung with fair prices. Although the phone is yet to be announced, its specs are already out and the rumour is that the Samsung Galaxy A9 has been leaked with Snapdragon 620 SoC

It information about the Samsung A9, also known as Samsung SM-A9000 is leaked that it will come with a Snapdragon 620 SoC, according to GeekBench. The processor has two quad-core processors i.e. One of them is the Cortex-A72 and the other one is Cortex-A53 and thus the chip on the chipset is optimized for focus on Single core performance.


The MSM8976 motherboard is the Snapdragon 620 SoC. The Samsung Galaxy A9 will also have the fingerprint sensor which will be used to use the features like unlocking Phone/Apps and make payments online. But Samsung has ditched their own Exynos Chip-set and is shifting to Snapdragon 620. The Snapdragon 620 might make travelling and navigation quick and easy.

The A9 will possess features like a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The Android OS will be a v5.1.1 (Lollipop), planned upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow). The new and added feature is obviously the Snapdragon 620 SoC and lets also add the fingerprint sensor to the list. The Galaxy A9 comes with the Super Amoled display which makes the visual performance better than the other phones.
