The Huawei P8 unveiling event held today at London was a remarkable one because of the great smartphones and their jaw dropping features. The company has introduced many cool features with its smartphone and phablet, namely Huawei P8 and Huawei P8max. The camera on these phones have unique features ever on any smartphones. The chipset is also interesting. Above all, Huawei P8 phones can sense your knuckles, which is also first of its kind. Huawei P8 and P8max are both high end flagships of the manufacturer with massive screen and thinner bezel. “Infinite Creativity” as the CEO quotes, is what Huawei wants to ignite within us users. Both of the smartphones are dual sim with 4G LTE network.
All thanks to its thinner bezel, the phone looks massive even in its 5.2″ IPS display screen that takes 78.3% of the front panel. This 6.4 mm thick flagship has a full metal body unlike the metal and glass combination of its predecessors. To make it splashproof, the smartphone has a special nano coating which helps guard the body against damages.
The primary camera is 13 MP with optical image stabilization. It uses unique RGBW – Red, Green, Blue, White subpixels that is useful in low light imaging. Huawei did not even bothered to call its image processor an equivalent of DSLR quality.
Since, Huawei P8 phones can sense your knuckles, you can interact with your smartphone in totally new way. By using your knuckles you can double tap your screen or crop the part of it for preserving a screenshot.
Huawei P8 is powered by an octa-core Cortex A53 processor. The Kirin 935 chipset is powered by 2600 mAh battery which gives it ablility to last for 2 days even if there are many apps installed.
The phone also features the manufacturer’s new Signal+ technology with dual antennas on the top and bottom at the front. The phone can switch between these two antennas within as less as 33.5µs. Data and Phone Connections are rarely lost in this phone. The phone is priced at €500 for 16 GB model and €600 for 64 GB. Europe, S Africa and the Middle East will be the first market for it to be released in May.
Initially rumored as P8 lite, this phablet has 6.8″ screen that covers 83% of the front and is 6.8 mm thick. However it disappoints us with 1080p resolution. It posses 7 layers heat conducting structure internally in order to 5°C lower than its rival smartphones.
Making the full use of 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, the phone offers multitasking on split screen. You can also screenshot it by using your knuckles since both the Huawei P8 phones can sense your knuckles. Unlike its smaller sibling, it has landscape mode on the Home screen.
The Camera is 13 MP at the back and 5 MP at the front. Huawei P8max has 4,360 mAh of enormous battery power that helps it last for 1.5 to more than two days even after frequent usage.
