There’s a reason why TechRadar voted its predecessor as the number one Flagship phone of the year in 2014. The dual lens camera system, although controversial, was a great camera to take pictures. Photographs and selfies are more aesthetic on this smartphone. The upgraded camera feature is a definite sign that HTC One M9 has the best camera ever on HTC. Announced at the Mobile World Congress ‘MWC’ Event last week, this flagship phone is all set to release on mid march of 2015.
Now that the back of the phone no longer has the Ultrapixels camera like HTC One (M8), critics are prying their eyes on the standard 20 megapixel camera with sapphire camera cover lens opted in HTC One M9, wondering if this ‘One’ has the best camera ever on HTC .
HTC One (M8) was largely criticized for putting an ultrapixel dual lens camera on its rear panel. Initially, the main motive of HTC behind this was to capture low light image at its best. It had slightly wide angle support and blurry background effect for images. But it couldn’t give much detail to the snapshot and was definitely not the best camera ever on HTC.
To twist the feature of the phone, manufacturers instead placed the ultrapixels lens on the front facing camera. It is beneficial for selfie obsessed people to have their ‘snap’ shot in wide angle with more brightness even in the low light.
The 20 MP snapper on the other side can snap high resolution pictures -due to its own “exposure engine”- that is really detailed, as in HDR technology used by Apple and Sony. Furthermore, it has capability of recording 4K video which is definitely an essential camcorder feature these days.
Apart from the Camera, the HTC One M9 has really great software and hardware integration. The ‘Sense’ experience lives up to the expectation. The Battery of 2800 mAh power is the most powerful backup yet provided by HTC. The screen also feeds up lower power in order to save more juice out of your battery. The latest 64 bit octa core Snapdragon from Qualcomm greatly operates the whole system.
Also partnered with The Dolby Lab., HTC One M9 has the perfect 5.1 channel surround sound that delivers true right and left sound for perfect gaming and movie experience. Trademarked by HTC as ‘BoomSound’, it allows you to stream your music to compatible home stereo devices.
