Amazon are looking to add to their range of tablets with their new addition of the Amazon Fire HD 10. It comes out along with other several devices like the Fire HD 8, Fire kids edition and other devices. This is the first time Amazon have created a tablet of this size. The e-commerce giants have created a 10 inch Fire HD which is their biggest tablet to date. You can buy the Fire HD 10 here.
Amazon already sell several tablets that are more commonly sized i.e. about 6″ to 8″, it is the first time they are releasing tablets in this size. The Fire HD 10 is likely to be shipped out on September 10 and will cost about $230. The Fire HD 10 is also said to be the thinnest of their tablets so, this is probably going to be the thinnest tablet with the largest display Amazon have come up with.
Here are a few features you would probably want to know about the Fire HD 10:

- It has the display size of about 10.1 inches and features an HD display with over million pixels.

This tablet is great for viewing movies and is specially designed for it as it has a huge display and features HD graphics. The back panel feels smooth and comfortable but could attract fingerprints to it. According to Amazon and its drop tests, they’re durable. You can actually view their drop tests HERE. They also boast to be twice as durable as the iPad so that’s quite impressive.

- It has expandable storage up to 128 GB, and dual speakers with Dolby Audio technology.

The device runs on Amazons new Fire OS 5 Bellini operating system, which is based on Google’s android Lollipop software. The Fire OS 5 is designed for quick access to your apps and content plus personalized recommendations that make it easy to discover new favourites.
The device also has new software such as On Deck and Word Runner.
On Deck will automatically load your tablet with popular movies available on Prime. This can come in handy when you have to go for a trip on a short notice and you didn’t get time to upload movies to your device. You might be worried about the space it may take, well don’t as On Deck clears out the storage it took up when you want to add contents of your own choice.
Word runner is a speed-reading feature that lets you read text one word at a time, and trains your eyes and brain to read faster. It also gives report on how long you have spent reading and playing games and you can also browse the history.
There’s also the Amazon Underground, an app portal that gives you access to free apps that would normally cost money on Google’s Play Store app. Pretty sneaky.
Amazon has created this amazing tablet as part of their line of budget tablets. Though the number of Apps are considerably less than that of Apple and Google’s app store, the device is priced competitively compared to other big companies.
For example, the cheapest Apple iPad has a starting cost of $270 and it really doesn’t sound cheap does it? The Fire HD 10 is more affordable than many other tablets that offer the same features if not less. The Fire HD 10 is priced at about $230 and for such features and size, it is a great deal.
